INTRODUCTION

THE AWARDS UiTM 2021 is a new initiative by the management of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) to recognise outstanding leadership and high performance of individuals, teams, and departments across UiTM. This is an opportunity for everyone to highlight their achievement in the form of strategic planning, successful execution of a programme, and many others which may have given an impactful outcome and contributed to the excellence of our university despite the challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

The EIGHT categories considered for this award cover all functions in UiTM from the strategic level to the operational level, leaving no one behind, so that everyone can take part in this new award competition organized by the Department of Ranking for the first time ever.

The winner from each category will be selected to submit to THE Awards Asia - a major international platform that provide a moment to pause, reflect and celebrate the continent's higher education excellence in its diversity

CATEGORIES

Excellence and Innovation in the Arts

This award recognises the pioneering work that is taking place in universities to promote the arts. It is open to individuals, teams or departments.

  • Describe the background to and context of your entry. Does the entry represent a new effort to establish your university’s reputation in the arts, or does it further an already strong position in the field?
  • Explain the nature of your excellence or innovation. Have you launched new initiatives? Have you set up new courses?
  • Describe the impact of your work. Provide evidence of demonstrable progress or success.
  • Is there a collaborative or interdisciplinary element to your work? If so, please tell us about it.

Please note that this category addresses promotion of the arts or an artistic project, rather than the excellence of an artistic project in itself.

ENTRY GUIDELINES

What are the judges looking for?

Our judges will be assessing excellence across eight categories for clear planning and strategy, coupled with excellent delivery and outcomes. Where appropriate, please provide evidence in the form of metrics that demonstrate success, as well as a narrative. Please also include examples that demonstrate the positive impact of the work.
Judges will be looking for examples of creative solutions to common challenges, innovation that has improved a team/department/university’s performance and broadened its impact, and where possible, instances of excellence that are scalable or transferrable to other higher education institutions.
